If you can't prove that a candidate won in election, then how do you know you live in a democracy where the people decide. Trump won Pennsylvania in 2016 but there's no way to actually verify it as they largely use older, insecure, un-auditable touch screen voting machines. In Michigan, the recount was shut down because of obscure rules written by Republicans to provide cover to election fraud. In Florida, the sitting GOP governor refused to authorize a recount.
